The Story so Far...
Following discussions with Brentwood Borough Council major design changes have been unveiled by Stockland for its proposed town centre development on William Hunter Way. The revised plans have addressed many of the design issues raised by Councillors and local residents to whom Stockland have listened very closely. The redesigned proposals demonstrate how the new development would fit comfortably with its neighbours and add to the town centre’s attractiveness.

Timetable
Stockland has now submitted two new planning applications to Brentwood Borough Council. The first of these includes the revised proposals for the development of the existing Car Park on William Hunter Way, which has progressed following discussions with Senior Officers at the Council and Highways Officers at Essex County Council. The second application is for the redevelopment of 73-73a High Street to create a pedestrian link between the High Street and William Hunter way together with two new commercial units and four residential units.

The proposals also reflects the feedback received from the public consultation exercises undertaken over the last two years.

Stockland is keen to move ahead with the development so that Brentwood Town Centre can see an improvement in its retail and leisure facilities.
